Plain-language policy

Privacy Policy

What the plugin uses, what the publisher does not collect, and where platform and storage providers still have their own role.

Effective July 19, 2026

Scope

This policy covers the Job Application Batch Builder Codex plugin and this public information site. It does not replace the privacy terms that apply to OpenAI, Codex, GitHub, job boards, connected tools, hosting providers, or your file-storage provider.

Information you may authorize

The plugin works with information and sources you place in scope, such as:

  • Resumes, transcripts, and other career materials
  • GitHub profiles, repositories, and local project files
  • Job descriptions and public job postings
  • Preferences, availability, and constraints you provide

These materials may include your name, contact details, location, education, employment history, project history, and work-authorization status.

How the information is used

Authorized information is used to research roles, compare current requirements with verified experience, and draft or audit resumes, cover letters, application guides, and related files.

The plugin may browse public job postings when requested. It does not submit applications or contact employers unless you provide separate, explicit authorization and an appropriate tool is available.

Publisher collection and retention

This is a skills-only plugin. It does not operate its own server, account system, database, analytics service, or telemetry system. The publisher does not independently receive or retain copies of your application materials through the plugin.

Generated documents and reports may be written to your Codex workspace or another location you choose. OpenAI, Codex, connected services, hosting providers, and storage providers may still process or retain information under their own policies and settings.

This website

This site has no account, contact form, advertising, behavioral analytics, or tracking cookies added by the publisher. Its hosting provider may process basic request, reliability, abuse-prevention, or security metadata as part of delivering the site.

Sharing and sale

The plugin does not independently transmit your application materials to the publisher. The publisher does not sell them or use them for advertising. Information may still be processed by the services and tools you choose to use, under their own policies.

Your choices

You control which sources the plugin may inspect and where generated files are saved. You may decline a requested source, remove generated local files, or stop using the plugin.

Deleting local files may not remove related conversations or records kept by platform or storage providers. Use those providers’ controls for their records.

Sensitive information

Do not provide Social Security numbers, financial-account details, passwords, government identification numbers, medical records, or other information unnecessary for preparing a job application.

Changes and questions

This policy may change if the plugin’s capabilities or practices change. A revised policy will show a new effective date. Questions about the plugin can be directed through the Support page. For information handled by OpenAI or Codex, consult the OpenAI policies.
